The IT manager biggest frustration with Microsoft 365

Are you responsible for IT issues in your company? Have you, like so many others, looked towards cloud-based solutions for IT?

If you work in IT probably know Office 365 already. Perhaps you have even introduced the Office 365 on your business.

Most likely, you probably have been able to reap some of it’s benefits: you do no longer need to “pat” on the server, get more disk, maintain equipment and do backups.

But, perhaps, you also feel a great frustration, we often see with the IT managers we meet, the difficulty to get the benefits of cloud services and Office 365 in the rest of the organization.

At worst, you discover that a division of your company using Dropbox instead of OneDrive that with impact on both the security and the possibility of cooperation and efficiency.

Many companies, in our opinion, completely miss out on the productivity gains that Microsoft 365 permits.

You in IT are probably aware of the benefits, even those that are not directly related to IT. Employees and managers on the other hand are often uninterested. Usually due to ignorance. It does not know what impact the services could have on their lives. They can not be bothered to bring in the new and declines all as an IT issue.

If you work in IT probably know Office 365 already. Perhaps you have even introduced the Office 365 on your business.

IT’s responsibility

But is it really IT’s responsibility that the business use the opportunities offered by cloud services, in productivity and communication tools? It may seem absurd in many ways.

While you probably want to be a proactive IT manager to help the business get the benefits from the IT solution you introduced. There is thus a great challenge in terms of communication.

This is one of the issues that we did address in a webinar held on Wednesday 16 November. We talked about ways to secure the benefits of Office 365, both in terms of productivity gains for business and IT. The webinar is about 45 minutes long. Go here: What every leader must know about Microsoft’s cloud services and Office 365 (Swedish)
